These SMS Terms & Conditions (the “SMS Terms”) govern text messages sent by Lakeshore Black Car (“Lakeshore Black Car,” “we,” “our”) for trip, payment, account, and customer support communications. By providing your mobile phone number to Lakeshore Black Car, you agree to these SMS Terms. These SMS Terms are in addition to, and incorporate by reference, the Website Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
1. Program Description
- The SMS program is operated by Lakeshore Black Car to coordinate trips, payments, account notices, and customer support with riders and payers.
- Messages are transactional in nature and relate to a trip you booked, your account, support requests, or an invoice for services rendered. Typical messages include booking confirmations, driver estimated time of arrival, vehicle arrival confirmations, pickup and drop-off notifications, schedule or flight-tracked timing updates, customer support, secure payment links, invoices, and receipts.
- This program does not send marketing, promotional, or advertising content.
2. How You Opt In
- You opt in to receive SMS messages when you provide your mobile phone number to Lakeshore Black Car in connection with booking a trip or receiving services, including by:
- checking the optional, unchecked SMS consent box on the booking form; or
- providing your mobile number verbally to a dispatcher who enters it for your trip.
- You represent that the mobile number you provide belongs to you and that you are authorized to consent to receive SMS messages at that number.
3. Message Frequency
- Message frequency varies based on your trip activity. A typical trip generates a small number of messages (for example, driver on the way, driver arrived, and a receipt). You may receive additional messages if your flight or schedule changes, or if an invoice or payment-related notification is sent to you.
4. Message and Data Rates
- Message and data rates may apply. Standard text messaging and data rates from your mobile carrier apply to every message you send or receive through the program. Check with your mobile carrier for details of your plan.
5. Opting Out (STOP)
- You may opt out of the SMS program at any time by replying with the word STOP to any message. You may also reply with STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT.
- After you opt out, you will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent unless you opt back in.
- To opt back in after unsubscribing, reply with START, UNSTOP, or YES.
7. Supported Carriers
- The program is available on most major U.S. mobile carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, Virgin Mobile, and others.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
8. Delivery and Availability
- We do not guarantee that messages will be delivered, or that they will be delivered in a timely manner. Delivery depends on factors outside of our control, including carrier network conditions and your device.
- You should not rely on SMS as the sole means of receiving time-sensitive information about your trip. If you do not receive an expected message, please contact the Operator directly.
9. Privacy
- Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent information are used solely to deliver the transactional messages described in these SMS Terms and will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
- For more information about how we collect, use, and share personal information, please review our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to These SMS Terms
- We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued participation in the SMS program after the updated SMS Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
